Wellcome Trust

The Wellcome Trust is an independent charity that funds research to improve human and animal health. It is the UK’s largest non-governmental source of funds for biomedical research. The Wellcome Trust supports many different kinds of research and activities with the ultimate aim of protecting and improving human and animal health. The support is not restricted to UK researchers; a significant proportion of funding is devoted to international research.
